Young moms served by St. Ann's as well as some of the nuns and case workers had fun making over 100 hand-tied arrangements to share with friends and support staff. We got the greatest gift by enabling these young women to have something to give others during the holiday season.

Client 37th Annual Kennedy Center Honors

Description

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to do the flowers for the 2014 Kennedy Center Honors, which celebrated the artistry of Al Green, Tom Hanks, Patricia McBride, Sting, and Lily Tomlin. Seated with the President of the United States and Mrs. Obama the Honorees accepted the thanks of their peers through performances and tributes. We used over 15,000 stems to decorate the awe-inspiring Grand Foyer for the special night.

Afterward we made several outright flower donations to non-profits, including CentroNia, N Street Village, and Mary’s Center. With so many flowers we were able to break down the remianing arrangements and hold a therapeutic flower workshop for the clients of St. Ann’s Center, which provides young families support and guidance so they can achieve independent living and self-sufficiency.
